Awareness Workshop on Preventing Violence Against Women

Under the patronage of the President of Gilgamesh University, Prof. Dr. Anwar Subhi Al-Jubouri, and in celebration of International Women's Day, the College of Education / Department of Arabic Language, in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Division at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, organized an awareness workshop entitled:

"Prevention and Protection Policies Against Violence Against Women: Prevention and Protection Mechanisms Between Challenges and Implementation."

The workshop was delivered by Asst. Lecturer Widad Hatem Al-Hassnawi, highlighting key policies and strategies aimed at preventing violence against women, promoting protection mechanisms, reviewing relevant legal frameworks, and emphasizing the role of higher education institutions in fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive academic environment.

The event was attended by faculty members, staff, and students, and featured interactive discussions emphasizing the importance of raising awareness of women's rights, strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and governmental bodies, and promoting equality, justice, and sustainable development values within the university community.
